Using the 32bit Cardbus high-speed PC Card technology, the DVD-800 was developed to bring the power and flexibility of DVD technology to notebook PCs. The DVD-800 provides a 8X data transfer rate of 11MB/sec for DVD content and 3.6MB/sec for CD-ROM content. The DVD-800 provides compatibility with all current DVD media and CD-ROM media, including CD-R and CD-RW.
