SPYRUS FORTEZZA COMPLIANT FIPS 140-1 LEVEL 2 COMPLIANT CRYPTO PC CARD

The SPYRUS FORTEZZA Series II Crypto Cards are Hardware Security Module-based security tokens that are used in the U.S. Defense Message System (DMS), the primary email system for the DoD, for secure email applications using Microsoft Outlook and Lotus Notes.

All FORTEZZA Crypto Cards include the government cryptographic and signature algorithm suite made up of SKIPJACK encryption and key wrap, Key Exchange Algorithm (KEA), SHA-1 hash, and NIST Digital Signature

The strength of the FORTEZZA Series II Crypto Cards is in the high-assurance security mechanisms incorporated into the design which provides a highly secure environment for application developers. Security mechanisms include:

      * High Security/Performance - Hardware-based cryptography
      * Tamper Evidence - sonically welded, tamper-evident case
      * Industry standard cryptography
      * Flexible, robust development tools and support
      * Power management with low power mode when not executing commands
      * On-card real-time clock

This card ships in BULK; no retail packaging. It works with Dept. of Defense's Defense Messaging system (DMS). In order to use this card, approved users must install the Fortezza driver on the PC that has the PCMCIA slot(s).
