The Bar Code Laser Scanner System combines Socket s top-selling serial I/O cards with our high performance S-2208 handheld laser scanner. Just plug the CompactFlash card into a Windows-based mobile computer, launch Socket s SocketScan keyboard wedge software, and you re ready to scan bar code data right into your favorite Windows program. It s 50 times faster and 10,000 times more accurate than manual data entry.

Socket s Bar Code Laser Scanner Card offers the advantages of low power consumption plus a secure attachment between the laser scanner gun and a host computer. The card transfers power from the host computer to the laser scanner gun, eliminating the need for a separate power supply. When connected to the S-2208, the Bar Code Laser Scanner Card draws only 10 mA in standby.
