The U132 is Elan's new model developed in response to overwhelming customer demand. Elan plans to add support for more models of 3G datacard during 2006. Most CardBus wireless modem cards are compatible with the EL-U132, however, if your card, such as Aircard 875, etc.,  is not shown  in the supported cards list below we can not support it! 

Note:
1. If your wireless card is not listed as the supported PC card, this model will not work! Please do not try and do not call!  Please go to here to see other options. 
2. Our statistics shows that this USB adapter's success rate for the supported cards is about 90%. 
3.  If you don't have a wireless card yet, check here for your carrier recommended cards.
4. For desktop PC users, you can use a PCI-based internal reader as a much cheaper alternative! Please click here to check other options.

6. This model WILL NOT work for Mac PCs and there is no support for UNIX or Linux  O/S.

Take your 3G wireless internet access anywhere using the EL-U132! This USB adapter allows the use of a wide number of high speed datacards via a USB port enabling these PC cards to be used with a desktop or laptop without a CardBus slot.

The EL-U132 is ideal for customers who live in an area without high speed wired internet access, or whose laptop does not offer a PCMCIA/CardBus slot. The adapter is compatible with desktops, notebooks or specialist systems (such as Point of Sale machines). No Mac driver support!

Please note that the unique hardware design of the EL-U132 has been developed especially for this type of wireless modems, so other card types are not supported. The EL-U132 does not support memory cards. Check our Frequently Asked Questions for more information

*¹ Note on Option Models - There are many different Option card models, and operators do not always refer to the Option Wireless model name. 

*² Verizon PC5740 or KPC650 card + U132 combinations support a manual connection, but the Verizon VZAccess software does not recognize the card. Please check here for instructions.

Cards Not Listed :

Most cards are supplied and badged by an operator. The list above is not a comprehensive list of all operators supplying supported cards; if you have one of the listed card models but have purchased it from a different operator it should operate correctly in the EL-U132. Re-branded cards usually state the manufacturer's name and model number on the reverse label.

Technical Features

• 32-Bit CardBus Cards supported (see supported card list above)  for 3G connection, including CDMA, UMTS, EDGE and HSDPA.
  Note that if your card includes a Wireless LAN (802.11) connection this is not supported via the EL-U132
• USB Interface
• Supports Type I and II card sizes.  Slot has ejector lever
• Uses Elan's unique silicon to bridge between USB and 32-bit CardBus interface.
• Supplied with software driver for Windows 2000 and XP.
• External Power Supply option for high current cards (normally not required).

•  elu132.zip : Patch for Qualcomm PC 5740 disconnect issues. To install the new driver, unzip and copy the elu132.sys file into c:\windows\system32\drivers folder before connecting the U132.
